An admitted member of the Bloods street gang was sentenced Monday to 18 years in prison after receiving a substantial reduction in his penalty for cooperating with authorities. Antonio Fulford, 27, known on the street as "Bone," previously pleaded guilty to four felonies, including conspiracy to commit murder. He could have received life in prison. Fulford was among a series of Bounty Hunter Bloods who testified against two gang leaders, Mustafa Mix and Gary Toliver. Both were convicted after trial this summer. Fulford signed a statement of facts detailing the crimes he committed, including being offered $20,000 to kill a man who disrespected gang leader Marlon Reed, known as "Boss" or "Black Marlo." Reed, who also pleaded guilty and cooperated, received a reduced sentence as well. In a related case, Mix's girlfriend, Tiara Billie Gosney, was convicted by a federal jury last Thursday of a single count of witness tampering. The jury found that she threw an iced coffee at a witness in the gang case and threatened to send her "homies" into the person's house, according to court documents in the case. She'll be sentenced in February.
